Scribendi Offers $1,000 Scholarship for Outstanding Community Leadership
Scribendi, proud supporter of social change and leadership in communities both big and small, has some great news for hardworking students everywhere: the company is running a scholarship contest to reward one special student with a US$1,000 prize for outstanding community leadership.
The current international scholarship contest is open for applications until December 31, 2015. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program, demonstrate excellent dedication to community leadership, and be able to relate their superb contribution to their communities in under 150 words. This scholarship aims to reward students who love doing things like volunteering at their local library, organizing fundraisers, coaching Little League, or raising awareness about important social issues, all while working on degrees and diplomas to help prove to the world just how awesome they really are.
Chandra Clarke, founder and president of Scribendi, understands the importance of community leadership. It's something she strives for herself, and it's something that she respects in young adults everywhere—and particularly in students: "Scribendi.com has always been about community involvement, so we are especially pleased to be able to offer a scholarship that encourages this in students around the world."
