Scribendi Donates 10,000 Peat Pots to Chatham-Kent Greening Partnership

February 14, 2008

Scribendi has donated 10,000 peat pots to the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, contributing to the local Greening Partnership. The trees grown from these pots will be planted in parks and other public places, helping to improve the habitat in the area and improve citizens’ quality of life. In addition, Scribendi has issued a challenge to other local businesses and community groups to step up and do their part to improve and protect Chatham-Kent’s environment.

The Chatham-Kent Greening Partnership plans to grow at least 5,000 seedlings this year as part of their Trees for Tomorrow program, a program that involves volunteers and youth groups in growing native trees from locally collected seed.

But these volunteers can’t do it alone. Scribendi is proud to be doing its part to help make the Chatham-Kent area a better, greener place.
