Scribendi.com was founded in 1997 as one of the world’s first online editing and proofreading companies. Based in Ontario, Canada, the company’s primary goal is to provide clients with fast, reliable, and affordable revision services. Sara Pegg, Quality Manager, BA

Sara has more than 10 years of experience in the ESL and editing and proofreading industries. She has a BA in Psychology, and through her studies and subsequent professional development, Sara has honed her technical expertise. She has undertaken management and ISO Lead Auditor training, as well as grammar, editing, and proofreading training. She has applied this knowledge and her experience in the ESL industry to the continual improvement of our processes, ensuring that our commitment to quality produces an outstanding customer experience. Sara works closely with our editors to ensure adherence to our quality standards, makes recommendations for system improvements, and oversees training initiatives for the organization.
Bryan Russell, Senior Editor, BA, MA, BEd

Bryan is a published author with a BA in English and Creative Writing, a BEd with a focus on teaching English, and an MA in English and Creative Writing. His interests include narrative structure, post-modernism, and the role of the fantastical in fiction. He has been a teacher, a bookstore owner, and a freelance editor and writer, and he now serves as one of the Senior Editors for Scribendi.com. His job is to oversee the editorial side of the business, managing the in-house and remote editors, and working with corporate clients.
Neil Wood, Senior Editor, BA, MA, PhD student

Neil has a BA and an MA in English and Creative Writing, and is currently completing his PhD in Education. His research interests include creative writing pedagogy, social and restorative justice, identity politics, discourse analysis, disability theory, and post-secondary education. Neil has published poetry and short fiction in various journals and has presented a paper on the representation of HIV/AIDS in Canadian cinema. Currently, Neil volunteers with a number of community organizations in the Chatham-Kent region. As one of the Senior Editors, Neil’s job is to manage orders and provide support to the editorial staff.
Our key management team
In addition to our highly educated and experienced editors, we have a team of over 20 in-house customer relationship specialists, sales representatives, IT professionals, and key management personnel who ensure that our customers are satisfied and daily operations run smoothly.
Chandra K. Clarke, President, BA, MSc

Chandra holds a BA in English and an MSc in Space Exploration Studies. Her lifelong devotion to the written word started when she joined The Chatham Daily News as a regional stringer. She then worked as a reporter/photographer for a large chain of weeklies before becoming the managing editor of an independent paper, a post she held for two years before striking out on her own. She writes a weekly humor column and has authored two books, dozens of short stories, and many newspaper and magazine articles. She is an enthusiastic supporter of space exploration and scientific research.
Terence W. Johnson, Vice-President, BA

Terry has a degree in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from the University of Oxford and has also studied theology and engineering. Prior to joining Scribendi.com, Terence worked for an association of leading European universities, developing Internet-based academic exchange programs, organizing international conferences, and editing the association's journal. He has served on the board of the United Nations Association of the United Kingdom and held elected positions in a number of other UK community and volunteer organizations. He also has a passing interest in driving steam trains.
Samantha Russell, VP of Operations, BA, BSc, MBA, SPHR, CHRP

Samantha possesses an MBA and bachelor's degrees in Biology and Psychology and holds Human Resource designations in both Canada and the US. Throughout her career, she has gained extensive experience in operations, HR, organizational health and safety, and quality management from a variety of industry sectors. In her role at Scribendi.com, Samantha oversees daily operations and strategic goal setting for the organization. She is keenly interested in business ethics and social justice issues, volunteers for both child and animal welfare organizations in her community, and always has several home DIY projects on the go.
Karen Ashford, Marketing Manager, BA, MA

Karen earned an MA in Communications and Social Justice and an Honors BA in Media, Information, and Technoculture. She has undergone extensive search engine optimization training, as well as social media marketing, online analytics, and public relations training. Karen is actively involved in her community, mentors a young girl as a Big Sister, and is interested in social justice and international relations. She oversees the strategic development and daily operations of both the Marketing and Sales departments.
