Farther/Further

Farther and further are both adjectives and adverbs indicating a continuation after a certain point; however:

Farther should be used when referring to physical distances, and;

Further should be used for figurative distances.

Example Sentences: The house was just a little farther down the road. She couldn’t wait to examine it further.
