Big-prize short story contest

contest to win up to $5,000.

We have just announced details of our 2006 Short Story Contest, which could win you up $5,000. If you're new to writing short stories, that's OK! Our short story contest will be a great learning experience for you.

Entries received by September 25, 2006, will compete for a grand prize worth up to $5,000 USD. The second place winner will receive up to $500 USD, and the third place winner will receive up to $50 USD. The short story contest places no restrictions on genre or subject. Entries will be judged on the basis of the clarity and presentation of the subject, the quality of the language, and the originality of the subject.

Only original, unpublished stories of no more than 3,000 words may be submitted. Submissions must be made using the electronic submission form on our website. We require that writers provide their entries in one of several standard PC-based word processing formats. Each book must be accompanied by an entry fee of $15 USD, payable online via MasterCard, Visa, or PayPal.
